# 1. Create your first Insights project

Create an Insights project and choose what it analyses – audio or text.

1. After you sign in to Digital Studio, choose **Insights** on the product screen. If you are already in Studio, click the home icon in the top bar and switch to **Insights** in the product menu at the top of the sidebar.
2. Click **Create** and choose **Project**.
3. Fill in the dialog:
   * **Name** (required) and an optional **Description**.
   * **Project type** – **Audio** for call recordings, **Text** for e-mails and other texts. The type cannot be changed later.
   * **Language** (required) – the main language of the data. In Audio projects it is also the language of the speech-to-text transcription.
   * **Secondary languages** – other languages that appear in the data, up to nine.
4. Click **Create project**.

Studio opens the new project in **Design** › **Parameters** – the next step of this tutorial.

The project sidebar follows the order of the work: **Design** (parameters, categories, prompts), **Upload**, **Process** and **Analyse**. Every module is described in [Workspace](/insights/workspace.md).
