# Sign in

Create your password, sign in with two-factor authentication, reset a forgotten password and find your way after signing in.

## Your first sign-in

Your Digital Studio account is created by an administrator of your organization or by Born Digital. You then receive an e-mail with the subject **Create your password**.

1. Click **Set your password** in the e-mail. The link is valid for 24 hours.
2. Enter your **New password**, repeat it in **Confirm new password** and click **Create password**.
3. Sign in with your e-mail address and the new password.

If the link has expired, request a new one with **Forgot password?** on the sign-in screen – see [Forgotten password](#forgotten-password).

{% hint style="info" %}
Did not receive the e-mail? Check your spam folder, then ask your administrator. An administrator can also set a password for you directly.
{% endhint %}

### Password rules

Your password must:

* be at least **8 characters** long (**16** for administrators),
* contain at least three of these four: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits and special characters,
* not contain your e-mail address and not be easy to guess,
* differ from a password you used before.

Changing your password signs you out on all your devices.

## Sign in

1. Open Digital Studio and enter your **Email** and **Password**.
2. Click **Login** (or press Enter).
3. If your organization uses two-factor authentication, enter the code from your authenticator app – see below.

If your organization signs in through single sign-on, you are taken to your company's login page instead of the Digital Studio form.

## Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your account with a code from an app on your phone. Whether it is required is set for the whole organization – ask your administrator or Born Digital to turn it on.

### Set it up

When 2FA is required, the first sign-in after your password opens **Setting up 2-factor authentication**:

1. Open an authenticator app on your phone, for example Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator. If you do not have one, the screen links to Microsoft Authenticator in the App Store and Google Play.
2. **Scan the QR code** with the app. If you cannot scan it, type the code shown under **Or enter code manually:** into the app.
3. Click **Done and continue**.
4. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows and click **Verify**.

### Sign in with a code

After your password, the screen **Two-factor Authentication** asks for the code: open the authenticator app, enter the **6-digit code** for Born Digital and click **Verify**. The code changes every 30 seconds.

* You have 5 minutes and 5 attempts to enter a correct code. After that, wait five minutes and sign in again.
* **Lost or new phone?** There are no backup codes. Ask your administrator to contact Born Digital support, who reset your two-factor authentication; you then set it up again at the next sign-in. Resetting your password does not reset 2FA.

## Forgotten password

1. On the sign-in screen, click **Forgot password?**.
2. Enter the e-mail address you use for Digital Studio and click **Reset password**.
3. Open the e-mail **Reset your password** and click **Reset password**. The link is valid for 24 hours. If the e-mail does not arrive, check your spam folder or click **Send instructions again**.
4. Enter your **New password**, confirm it and click **Reset password**. You are taken back to the sign-in screen.

## Locked account

After **5 wrong passwords** in a row, your account is locked and you receive an e-mail **Account Locked**. Resetting the password does not unlock it – ask your administrator to **Unlock account** (see [Users and roles](/getting-started/users-and-roles.md#manage-a-user)).

## After you sign in

**Choose your product.** The first screen offers the products your organization uses:

* **Digital Agent** – chatbots and voicebots built in the flow editor,
* **Realtime** – voice agents that talk to customers in real time,
* **Insights** – analysis of calls, chats and e-mails.

You can switch the product later in the **Select product** menu at the top of the left sidebar, or by clicking the Born Digital logo at the bottom of the sidebar.

**Choose your organization.** If you work for more than one organization, the **Select organization** menu appears under the product menu. Projects, users and settings always belong to the selected organization.

**The left sidebar** contains:

* **Projects** – **Recent**, **Favorites**, **Folders** and **All projects** (Realtime shows **All projects** only),
* **Organization** – **Users**, **Data sources**, **Settings** and **Bubble design**, depending on the product and your role,
* **Help** – **Documentation** (this site) and **Contact** (an e-mail to <support@borndigital.ai>),
* **App status** – whether the connected applications are running.

**Your account** is in the top-right corner: your name, your role, the **Language** of Studio (English, Czech, Slovak or Polish), **My Account** and **Logout**. See [My account](/getting-started/my-account.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
If you are inactive for a long time, Studio warns you that you will be logged out soon. Click **Continue** to stay signed in – unsaved changes would otherwise be lost.
